I have been using 360share pro for 2 years with no problems. Today I clicked on my 306share pro desktop icon and nothing happened. After reading on this forum I did 2 things. I'm not sure which one worked or maybe it was both but here are the paths I took in simple terms for people like me.

Path 1 : click start > click control panel > click windows firwall icon > click exceptions tab > click add program button > when list populates click 360share pro > click ok button. You will see 360share pro added to your list of firewall exception programs.

Path 2: click start > click add or remove programs icon > scroll down and click Java update 2 > click remove button.

It sounds like different things are working for different people, so maybe it just depends on what your computer has been up to or maybe 360 just needs a jump start sometimes.

Hope this helps someone. I know I am grateful for those that posted. It helped me a lot. I use my 360share pro all the time and I would be so upset without it and all the stuff I've downloaded.

Thank you for this thread.

Ran into the same problem as many on this forum. I got a new laptop so I needed to install 360 Share Pro for the first time. I'm running Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron 6400. I ran the Install.exe for 360 Share Pro and got installed successfully but When I attempted to run 360Share.exe the Welcome screen would pop up but nothing would happen after that. I read through this forum & tried several of the suggestions. One of which was to delete all the Java updates via Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs. After doing that when I executed 360Share.exe it opened successfully. However, when I tried to search nothing would come up. I'm running Norton 360 and when I disabled the firewall VOILA, SUCCESS!

So to all who took the time to post solutions, A HEARTY THANK YOU

I had the same problem.Log into your account with them and reinstall 360 share pro from there.I did this and everything works fine now.

PS Limewire uses the same system as 360 share pro, and has more users, so I use both.
